Vice Principal

In the absence of the Principal, the Vice Principal assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Principal. When not involved in teaching duties, the Vice Principal devotes as much time as possible to the supervision of the school and to observing methods of instruction, endeavoring to improve upon the efficiency of the staff and the school in general.

The Vice Principal will help the Principal to:

• Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the school
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the academic and personal growth of students
• Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
• Manage the school’s budget, resources, and facilities
• Foster strong relationships with families, the local community, and relevant government agencies
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of faculty and staff
• Encourage ongoing professional development for all members of the school community

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
At least 5 years of successful teaching experience
Current teaching certification
Proven track record of school leadership experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of First Nations culture and history
Ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds
